2012
Award Presentation Ceremonies Dates & Venues:
|
Completion sheets for all ceremonies - except for Gold award ceremonies as different requirements apply - should be forward as soon as possible to ensure inclusion in the ceremony as places will be on a 'first come first served' basis. |
GOLD AWARD PRESENTATION CEREMONY 2012.
No date has been confirmed yet for the 2012 Gold Award Presentation Ceremony but it will probably be during Autumn 2012
Gold Award Participants who wish to be considered for the 2012 ceremony should get their projects/portfolios to us before the end of May 2012.
Some suggestions to help you put together your project/portfolio.
1. An introduction.
Introduce yourself (where you were born and grew up, where you went to school etc)
Mention if you are the holder of a previous Award or Awards. If so, is the Gold Award with the same PAL. If not, who was your PAL for the other Award(s)?
Why you decided to go for the Gold Award.
2.One page (approximately 300 to 400 words) on each section of your Award. The highs and lows etc.
3.Conclude with what you personally got from going for and completing the challenge of the Gold Award.
4.Include things like photographs, copies of certificates attained, route maps etc.
The above is a guideline only. We look forward to receiving your personal account of your challenge for the Gold Award.
Don’t forget to include your Record Book (showing the verifying signatures for each activity and a Completion Sheet (filled in by your PAL) – both of these signed by your PAL to guarantee that the standards of Gaisce – The President’s Award have been complied with in full and that everything agreed for the challenge of the Gold Award has been completed.
COMPLETION SHEETS:
Completion sheets for all ceremonies - except Gold award ceremonies - should be forward as soon as possible to ensure inclusion in the ceremony as places will be on a first come first served basis. They must be with HQ a minimum of ten days prior to the Presentation Ceremony to be considered for inclusion in the ceremony.
Completion sheets should not be forwarded for consideration until all of the agreed activities undertaken by the participants have been carried out to the standard of the Award - including the Adventure Journey.
Please ensure that fully filled in completion sheets are returned to the Gaisce HQ as soon Award activities undertaken by the participant have been completed and verified inc Adventure Journey before the Completion Sheets are sent for processing.
